Students in Mrs Paul’s English 9 participated in a “mechanical dissection” to examine the parts, purpose and complexity of simple machines and then made connection to the parts, purpose & complexity of their writing.

From Student Services: For any students who are interested to learn about the role of pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists, explore research opportunities, participate in health and wellness activities, tour the College of Pharmacy at URI, and experience their simulation lab, there will be an event for high school students and their families at the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy Exploration Day on Friday, November 21, from 1 – 3 pm. If you are donating blood at the NHS blood drive tomorrow, please eat a good breakfast and drink plenty of water. Please arrive at the MPAC by your scheduled time. Plan to spend about 20 minutes after giving blood to enjoy some snacks and relax! Thank you for helping to save a life!

There will be an informational sign-up meeting for any students interested in joining the indoor track team on Thursday, November 6 directly after school in Mr. Landry's room. Students in Mr. Landry‘s AP bio classes worked with our Bee Club 🐝 advisor to take a samples from the hive today. Students will analyze the honey to detect the DNA of the plants that our bees source their nectar from. Students will present their findings to the Bee Club 🐝

Congratulations to the Boys XC team for earning Southern Maine Regional Runner-Up today at Twin Brook! They will compete next Saturday at Cony HS in the Class A State Championship! Owen placed 7th, Harry 13th, and Harvey 15th, earning them all conference honors!

Students in Ms. Cushing's class took their math skills outside in the sunshine last week! They applied problem solving skills using the distributive property but used chalk on the sidewalk to display their abilities. #mathiseverywhere
