School Counselors

School Counselors
Your school counselor is here to guide you through high school and beyond. They can help you:

  • Plan your class schedule and stay on track for graduation

  • Explore college, career, and military options

  • Write resumes and apply for scholarships

  • Work through short-term stress or social issues

  • Manage time and set goals

  • Resolve conflicts or get connected to other supports

Nurse Homan

School Nurse
Our school nurse helps students stay healthy and safe during the school day. You can go to the nurse for:

  • First aid or sudden illness

  • Help managing a chronic condition (like asthma, diabetes, allergies)

  • Medication management during the school day

  • Health questions or concerns

  • Health screenings or documentation needs

Social Workers

School Social Workers (Licensed Clinical Counselors)
Our social workers support students facing ongoing or complex emotional challenges. They can help you:

  • Cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief

  • Receive confidential counseling and mental health support

  • Connect to outside mental health providers or resources

Todd Smolinksky

👮 School Resource Officer (SRO)

Officer Todd Smolinksy
Our School Resource Officer is a trained police officer who works in partnership with students, families, and staff to help keep our school safe. The SRO is here to:

  • Promote safety in and around school

  • Build positive relationships with students

  • Respond to emergencies or investigate incidents

  • Provide presentations on topics like internet safety, substance prevention, and more

  • Serve as a trusted adult for students

Admin

Principal & Assistant Principals
Our administrators support the day-to-day functioning of the school and help ensure that GHS is a safe, welcoming place for every student. You can go to them if you:

  • Have questions about school policies or expectations

  • Need help resolving a serious concern or problem
