As we approach the end of the school year, we want to make sure families are aware of several important and unique events coming up at GMS. From music concerts and the spring dance to the 8th-grade celebration and more, these events will help our students build lasting memories to finish out the year, and make them feel more confident and ready for the 25-26 SY. Please see the attached schedule for a full list of what’s ahead to close out the year.

Students on the Eighth Grade Boon team will be learning about forces, motion, energy, and robotics through the use of LEGO Briq Q Motion Kits and Lego Spike Prime Kits. Thanks to the Maine Learning Technology Initiative (MLTI), the Boon Science class was awarded a $10,000 Teach with Tech grant which was used to purchase 48 LEGO kits! These kits are wonderful tools that can be used to engage students in the content they are learning while also developing skills such as designing solutions, communication, collaboration, and perseverance. We're excited to see all of the fun & engaging things that our students do with these kits!
