Family Resource Hub

We are excited to introduce our new GMS Family Resource Hub, a section of our website designed to support families as they navigate the middle school years. Middle school is sometimes talked about as a phase students simply need to “get through,” but research tells a very different story. These years represent one of the most significant periods of brain development in a person’s life, shaping how students think, learn, and understand themselves and others. The experiences students have during this stage can play a major role in building confidence, habits, and a sense of belonging that carry well beyond middle school.

Our Family Resource Hub brings together a collection of articles, videos, tools, and school specific resources designed to help families better understand and support their middle schoolers. Families will find information about adolescent brain development, guidance on monitoring and managing their child’s technology use at home, and helpful resources connected to life at Gorham Middle School. We hope this hub becomes a helpful place families can return to as questions arise and as we continue partnering together to support our students during these incredibly important years.
